The OIE Director General has confirmed the appointment of Dr Samuel Wakhusama as Sub-Regional Representative for Eastern Africa, following the retirement of Dr. Walter Masiga at the end of 2016.
Samuel “Sam” was selected as Deputy-Representative in September 2015. He is a Kenyan veterinarian with post-graduate training up to PhD level with over 30 years working experience in the public sector, NGO sector and International Organizations in the eastern Africa region
