Resulting from the various presentations made during the inaugural SGE meeting in March 2022, considerations were drafted, and technical items or topics identified, based on country presentations, regional presentations (Europe and Asia-Pacific) and the comments of (private sector) representatives and scientific experts, to guide the work of the SGE over the next 12 – 24 months, depending on the frequency of meetings.

The fourth SGE ASF, will be held from 15 – 17 October as an online event.
The principle of embedding a session on “vaccines and vaccination” into this session on “outbreak management” was approved during the preceding SGE meeting in Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire, in August 2023. Given the time constraints of an online meeting, it has been decided to postpone this session on “vaccines and vaccination” until early 2025.
