Recently, the OIE Deputy Director General, and Director General – elect, Dr Monique Eloit visited the OIE Sub-Regional Representation (SRR) for Southern Africa in Gaborone, immediately after attending the Regional Conference on the Role of Veterinary Paraprofessionals in Africa, held in Pretoria (South Africa).

While in Botswana she met with OIE Sub-Regional Representation staff and held several courtesy calls with various Authorities and OIE Partners based in Gaborone; these included the Ambassadors of France and European Union in Botswana, Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation and Representatives from International Organisations (IO) on livestock based in Botswana.
