The OIE Sub-Regional Representation for Southern Africa is proud to announce the appointment of Dr. Olafur Valsson as new Chargé de mission antimicrobial resistance (AMR) and Tripartite liaison with the OIE AMR and Veterinary Products Department (AMRVPD). Dr. Valsson is currently the OIE Programme Officer on antimicrobial resistance for southern Africa, based in Gaborone, Botswana. The OIE staff in Africa congratulate “Oli” on this achievement and wish him, and his family, an excellent start in Paris, due in November 2020, travel restrictions permitting.
Meanwhile, the OIE is preparing a vacancy for the recruitment of a new Programme Officer in Botswana.
