As a first step to the implementation of regional guidelines for the surveillance of Contagious bovine pleuro-pneumonia (CBPP) in cattle at abattoir level (ante-mortem inspection of live animals and post-mortem inspection of carcasses), WOAH, in cooperation with the Istituto Zooprofilattico Sperimentale dell’Abruzzo e del Molise “Giuseppe Caporale” in Teramo, Italy, a WOAH Collaborating Centre and Reference Laboratory for CBPP, is organising an online training on abattoir surveillance, with emphasis on post-mortem findings in carcasses and organs, and possible differential diagnoses.
The training will last for around three hours and simultaneous translation to English and French will be available.
Support will be provided by two other Reference Laboratories for CBPP, i.e. CIRAD in Montpellier, France and BNVL in Gaborone, Botswana.
