The World Organisation for Animal Health (WOAH) is inviting applications for a Consultant in Biological Threat Reduction and Emergency Preparedness with mandatory advanced proficiency in French, to support the implementation of the Fortifying Institutional Resilience Against Biological Threats (FIRABioT) Project.
The Consultant will work remotely, with regular travel across Africa, and collaborate closely with WOAH regional and headquarters teams to plan, deliver, and report on a high‑intensity technical programme over a six‑month period. This will include leading eight in‑person workshops between March and August 2026 in four French‑speaking African countries (Algeria, Congo Republic, Madagascar, and Morocco), aimed at strengthening national capacities in contingency planning (including anthrax preparedness), risk communication, laboratory biological risk management, and the management of high‑consequence agents and toxins.
