The project aims to enhance animal health-related actions in the implementation of SPS Annex 7 of the African Continental Free-Trade Agreement (AfCFTA) Protocol on Trade in Goods. Activities support assessing countries’ needs for future interventions, and complement those activities already planned or undertaken by the African Union (AU) and other International Standard Setting Organizations (ISSOs). The proposed support targets all WOAH Members which are also Members of the African Union, with particular focus on the Common Market for Eastern and Southern Africa (COMESA) Member States.
